Early in 1999, Governor Soul played a sold-out show at the Silesian Ballroom. The adoring reaction would prompt them to go back into the studio to record that show's biggest hits. While the governors never made it back to Silesia, this bootleg record, un-released in America, made it to the top of the charts in Bielsko-Biala. The impression they made on the culture is sizeable, from Chorzow’s “Koska Fried Chicken” to Siemianowice Slaskie’s “Jay Peterson School of Hair and Design”. In the spring, the youth of Laziska Gorne gather in Josh Passman Square to play hacky sack as the dulcid tones of Governor Soul float through the dusky mist.
